HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR ME TO GET A DESIGN?

The time it takes to create and install your design will vary depending on the scale of work required, my design schedule, and your response time. It can take anywhere from 1-3 weeks from the time of payment, but in the case of a queue, you may be placed on a waiting list. It is very important that you respond to my emails in a timely manner so we don’t fall behind schedule.

WHAT IF I NEED IT SOONER?

If you're on a deadline, you can place a rush order. A rush order means your project will be placed on an overtime schedule, so that current orders won't be affect. You will have the opportunity to select a rush order in the Get Started form.

WILL I BE INVOLVED IN THE DESIGN PROCESS?

Of course! We’ll work together to create a design that you’ll love. Designers will be lost without client involvement!

HOW MUCH CONTROL WILL I HAVE OVER MY NEW SITE?

You have control over… everything! Because of the time I spend making your design functional, you can edit nearly everything. Your navigation can be altered and your page content can be added/edited as you please. The only aspects that aren’t editable is your social media icons and the design itself, and I’m hoping you wouldn’t want to alter that!

HOW WILL YOU INSTALL MY BLOG/WEB DESIGN?

When we’ve finalized your design and the test site has been approved, I will install your design on your server free of charge.

So Wordpress.org, Wordpress.com, Blogger, Tumblr, Wix, Weebly—

Wordpress.org. It is, by far, the most easiest to use, and the most functional. There are plugins for nearly every site function and a powerful website is right at your fingertips. Keep in mind: wordpress.com, a free platform, is different to wordpress.org, a free software that requires hosting.

YOU SAID I NEED HOSTING, DO YOU HAVE ANY RECOMMENDATIONS ON WHO I SHOULD USE?

Yes! There are two notable companies for web-hosting that either I, or my clients, have used. BlueHost and GoDaddy. I highly recommend BlueHost, for their pricing, reliability, and ease of use in navigating their control panel. I am an affiliate, and if you click on the above link, I will receive a small compensation. They also utilize 1-click installation of WordPress—a huge plus for any novice. If you need assistance with Wordpress installation and setup, I offer this service for a nominal fee.

SHOULD I BACKUP MY WORK?

I recommend backing up your old template and widget content. Just to be safe! It's good practice to back up your website every week or so, especially before installing updates. You never know when a tech glitch can make an appearance!

HOW WILL I PAY FOR MY DESIGN?

Once we've agreed on a package, I'll send you a neat invoice via Paypal. Registration is optional, and you can easily pay using MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover, and eChecks. PayPal is a fast, free, and secure!

DO I HAVE TO PAY BEFORE WE GET STARTED?

Yes. The invoice must be paid in full before I begin designing. Please note that once I begin, all payments are nonrefundable. This is a normal practice in the industry.

HOW ABOUT SUPPORT AFTER INSTALLATION?

I will provide support for one week from the date of installation. Support does not include any graphical changes or issues that are not related to the installed design. After, if you have issues or services to add, please contact me and we’ll work out a solution.

ANY OTHER TERMS I SHOULD KNOW OF?

A small image link back to IceyDesigns will be included in the footer area of your website, to let people know where you got your snazzy design. Please do not remove this link!
